Move of Managers within Sakura Properties

With effect from 1 st August 2004 Mr. Sam Young will move in his position as General Manager from the Thiripyitsaya Hotel in Bagan to the Sakura Residence Serviced Apartments in Yangon . Mr. Young has been managing the Sakura Hotel in Bagan for 6 years. Mr. Takuya Tsuji, Deputy Managing Director of Sakura Myanmar properties will be based in Bagan and will take up the direct responsibilities of the Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel in Bagan.

Bagan Hotel in Old Bagan upgrades rooms

The Bagan Hotel in Old Bagan with his new General Manager, Oliver E Soe Thet, has upgrade their superior rooms to deluxe rooms. The hotel renovated the rooms and added additional walls, lamps, new furniture and changed the interior design as well as enhanced the bathrooms. From end of August the hotel offers 4 handicapped rooms in its different room categories with fully set up handicapped bathrooms.

The Bagan Club, which is located near the river in total privacy, was also introduced. It features 9 rooms in the Suite categories, 7 Bagan River Suites and 2 Presidential Suites, has a Golf Putting Green and offers private breakfast, drinks and snacks over the day and during the sunset time. The latest addition is a Bagan Villa with Butler service. By now the hotel has 80 Deluxe rooms, 16 Junior Suites with River View, 10 Bagan Suites with River and Sun set View, 7 Bagan River Suites and 2 Presidential Suites in the Bagan Club and one Bagan Villa.
