Cyclone Nargis

Yangon and the Ayeyarwady Delta of lower Myanmar were worst hit by the tropical cyclone Nargis on 2nd and 3rd of May 2008.
Uniteam Tours & Travel shares its deepest sympathy for the victims of the Cyclone Nargis and also acknowledges the invaluable humanitarian support and funding provided by private individuals and other establishments of guests and business partners from all around the globe.
Yangon International Airport serves regular international and domestic flights' operations and all domestic and international airlines have resumed their flights on 5th May 2008. Hotels in Yangon are open and operating normally. (Only the Governor's Residence has closed down for a minimum of two months and will re-open again in the middle of July 2008.)
Transportation in Yangon is possible and most fallen trees have been cleared from the roads.
Most important, other tourist destinations such as Bagan, Mandalay, Ngapali Beach and the Inle Lake were NOT AFFECTED by the cyclone and tourist activities in those areas are operating as usual! - We are looking forward to welcoming you in Myanmar.
